Frequently Asked Questions

    • Do I need a reservation?

Yes; please make your reservation on our reservations page or directly with SilverStar Guest Services.

    • Where do we meet?

Meet your group out front of Bugaboos in SilverStar village at 5 pm for a prompt 5:30 pm departure. Please allow yourself plenty of time to get there and use the restrooms beforehand if needed. You will be met by a Ravenwood representative, who will outfit you with snowshoes and headlamp.

    • Can I change my reservation?

Changes made more than 48 hours prior to your booked tour will be subject to a $25 admin fee. Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds to changes made within 48 hours of the original booking.

    • Can I come or leave earlier or later than the designated times?

Regrettably, we are unable to accommodate late arrivals or early departures. We have only one seating each night, and for the safety of our guests, we need to snowshoe together as a group out to Ravenwood and then back to the village after dinner. Please give yourself ample time for winter road conditions, parking and gathering your group at Bugaboos to avoid disappointment as we cannot wait for latecomers.

    • Where do I park?

There is ample parking in the main parking lot B at SilverStar Mountain Resort. From there it is a short walk to the village meeting spot in front of Bugaboos.

    • Do you operate if the weather is bad?

Should the temperatures drop to a level where it would be dangerous to be outside for 35 minutes, we will have to cancel the dinner. Under these circumstances, we will do our best to rebook guests on another night. If this is not possible, a full refund will be offered.

    • What time do we return to the village?

      Around 10 pm.

    • Is alcohol included in the price of the dinner?

Our warm Glühwein welcome drink and after dinner digestif are the alcoholic beverages included in the price of dinner. Ravenwood offers wine, beer and spirits for purchase, or guests may bring their own wine, which will be subject to a $15 per bottle corkage fee.

    • Can I bring my own wine?

Absolutely.  Guests may bring their favorite bottle of wine, which will be subject to a $15 per bottle corkage fee.

    • Do you accommodate special dietary requests?

Please note that raclette cheese is naturally lactose and gluten free, so there will not be any main course substitutions offered. However, if you do have any special requests for any of the other courses due to dietary restrictions or allergies, it is important that you message us at ravenwood.restaurant@gmail.com so that we can acommodate your needs.

    • Do you have a children's menu?

Although children are welcome at Ravenwood, there is no children’s menu or reduced price option.

    • What should I wear?

Dress in layers of clothing, including warm jacket and pants, hat, gloves or mittens and waterproof snowboots. Headlamps and snowshoes will be provided. Ravenwood is well heated, so you will want to be able to remove layers when you arrive at the restaurant.

    • Is the cabin heated?

Yes. The wood burning stove and floor heaters keep the cabin cozy and warm. Remember to dress in layers so you can peel them off as you warm up!

    • Is there a toilet?

Yes, but due to our remote location it is a powered outhouse.
